Home Blood Pressure Readings Your Doctor Can Act On
Most home readings are taken the wrong way: the wrong cuff, the wrong posture, one number written on a scrap of paper. This kit fixes the method, then does the arithmetic: log two readings each morning and evening for 30 days, and your weekly and monthly averages appear, labelled by category, with a one-page summary ready for your appointment. Delivered instantly as a 30-page fillable PDF e-book, with a free bonus: an online edition of the same e-book for any phone or computer.
You are purchasing Home Blood Pressure Tracking Kit — a downloadable digital publication (30-page fillable PDF e-book, with free bonus access to an online edition of the same e-book). Upon checkout, you will receive instant online access and an immediate download link sent to your email address. This is a 100% digital product. No physical books, binders, jars, or equipment will be shipped to your address.

Why Most Advice Leaves You More Confused
What’s Inside the Complete System
Every section is authored to provide concrete, fillable tools rather than theoretical filler.
Why Home Readings Win
The studies behind home monitoring (Ohasama, Finn-Home, TASMINH4 and others) in plain words, the white-coat and masked patterns, the categories for clinic, home and 24-hour readings side by side, and the targets clinicians commonly agree for different groups.
The Right Monitor and the Right Cuff
What makes a monitor worth trusting and where to check it is validated. Type in your arm measurement and the cuff finder tells you which cuff size you need; compare your monitor with the clinic's and the kit tells you whether the difference matters.
The Seven Golden Rules
The measurement technique from the American Heart Association, as seven rules with the error each one prevents, the myths people tell themselves, a minute-by-minute routine and a technique self-audit you score on day 1 and day 15.
Both Arms and Standing Up
Two one-time checks that change what your numbers mean: the difference between your arms (which arm to use from now on) and the drop when you stand up, worked out for you, plus notes for pregnancy, atrial fibrillation, diabetes, kidney disease and shift work.
The 30-Day Log That Does the Math
Four weekly sheets with two readings each morning and evening, a medication tick and a note. Each week shows its systolic and diastolic averages (day 1 left out, as the guidelines ask), mornings against evenings, labelled by category; the month adds itself up on one page.
Knowing When to Act
A clear escalation guide (emergency, urgent, prompt, routine, and low pressure), cut-out wallet cards, a clinician summary that fills itself in from your log, questions to ask, and the lifestyle levers with their measured effects.
Three Steps, a Few Minutes a Day
Thirty minutes to set up
Check your monitor is validated, measure your arm and let the cuff finder pick the cuff, and read the seven rules once. Do the both-arms check at your first session.
Two minutes, twice a day
Two readings in the morning before tablets, coffee and breakfast, and two before bed. Type them into the week sheet; the averages update as you go.
Day 31: one page to your appointment
Your month is summarized on one page: 30-day average, mornings and evenings, highest reading and checks. Take that page, not the whole log, to your doctor.

Is This System Right for You?
- Adults who have been told their blood pressure is borderline or high and asked to check it at home.
- People taking blood pressure medicine who want their doctor to see what happens between visits.
- Anyone who suspects their clinic readings are higher (or lower) than their everyday pressure.
- Family members helping an older parent take reliable readings.
- It is not a diagnosis or a treatment plan, and it never replaces your doctor's judgment. Do not start, stop or change a blood pressure medicine because of home readings without talking to your prescriber.
- It is not for emergencies: a reading of 180/120 or more with chest pain, breathlessness, weakness, speech or vision problems needs emergency care now.
- It is not designed for children and teenagers, whose thresholds differ, or as the main record in pregnancy without your maternity team's guidance.
Clinical Evidence & Scientific Grounding
The kit follows the 2017 ACC/AHA guideline, the 2023 European Society of Hypertension and 2024 ESC guidelines, and NICE NG136: two readings a minute apart, morning and evening, for at least seven days, with day 1 left out and a home threshold of 135/85 (130/80 in the ACC/AHA scheme). The seven measurement rules and their error sizes come from the 2019 American Heart Association scientific statement on blood pressure measurement; cuff errors are from Ishigami et al., JAMA Internal Medicine 2023. In the TASMINH4 trial (Lancet 2018), clinicians who adjusted treatment using home readings achieved 3.5 mmHg lower systolic pressure than with clinic readings.
